What is a Doula?

A doula is your dedicated support person during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. They provide continuous physical, emotional, and informational support, helping you feel informed, comfortable, and cared for throughout your journey into parenthood.

Unlike doctors or midwives care, doulas focus on you. They suggest comfort measures, help you understand your options, offer reassurance, and advocate for your wishes. They work alongside your medical team, never replacing them.

Research shows doulas help create shorter labors, fewer interventions, and more positive birth experiences. Many people describe their doula simply as an anchor during one of life’s most transformative moments, someone who holds space for you exactly as you are.
